Standard designs are simple logos, text, and basic shapes that follow predictable digitizing rules. Custom designs require special techniques — portraits with shading, wildlife with texture, complex multi-color artwork, or anything requiring significant digitizer judgement beyond standard settings.
Yes — using techniques like Sfumato stitching and gradient fill to suggest depth and shading. Embroidery can't perfectly replicate photography, but skilled digitizing gets impressively close. We'll show you examples of similar work before you commit.
Same pricing as standard — $1.50 per 1,000 stitches. Complex designs naturally have higher stitch counts, but the maximum charge is capped at $65. For very large or unusual designs we'll quote before starting so there are no surprises.
